Description

**As of July 27, 2022 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on August 16, 2022.** Project Description The project consists of 1,911 feet of new C-900, PVC Class 200, 6-inch water line and appurtenances to replace existing leaking water line. Along the new lines old fire hydrants will be removed and replaced with new fire hydrants. Old water services will be abandoned and replaced with new water services. Existing water lines will be abandoned and new water tie-in connections will be made. The new water line begins at Quail Trail and Spring Valley Road where it connects to the existing water line in Spring Valley Road. Then, the new line proceeds to Wolf Creek Bridge Crossing and 6" PVC water pipe from the Wolf Creek Bridge Crossing to the end of Quail Trail together with water appurtenances. The existing water lines shall be kept in operation until the new water line, new fire hydrants and new water services are completed. The switch to the new system shall be made with limited interruption of water services to the existing customers. The new water lines shall be disinfected and pressure tested. The Contractor and these contract documents shall comply with the following requirements: Identification of Contractor's License Classification Listing of Subcontractors Contractor's Warranty Competitive Bidding Audit, Inspection and Recordkeeping Requirements Nondiscrimination Clause Worker's Compensation Clause Non-Collusion Affidavit Additional Insurance State Labor Compliance Provisions Legal Compliance of the Contractor and Subcontractors Disadvantaged Business Enterprises Provisions Debarment, Suspension, Ineligibility, and Voluntary Exclusion Cultural Resources Preservation Bidding Documents may be examined in OWNER's office, Lake County Special Districts, 230 North Main Street, Lakeport, CA 95453. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional Bond(s) prescribed in the Bidding Documents. In order to Bid and perform public work, the Bidder and Subcontractors shall hold or obtain such licenses as required by State Statutes, and federal and local Laws and Regulations. Bids will be accepted only from Bidders holding a California Contractors' License, Class A. Payment for the Work accomplished may take up 60 days from approval of progress payment, and part of the amount earned will be withheld to ensure performance under the contract. Substitution of securities for the monies withheld is permitted by the Contract Documents as an option open to the Successful Bidder.
