I-82/Columbia River Bridge at Umatilla EB - Bridge Painting

STIP ID 508202G03 The existing steel surfaces are in need of cleaning and painting to preserve the structural integrity of this bridge south of Kennewick. By cleaning and painting the steel surfaces this project will preserve the bridge and maintain the safety of the highway. As of January 12, 2023, the project is in Final Planning status. Preliminary engineering is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2019 and environmental design is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2020. The contract advertisement is expected in second quarter of 2023 and construction is anticipated to be operationally complete in the fourth quarter of 2024.
