Description | Scope: Provide all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary for repair and replacement of awnings for the Broward County Port Everglades Department in accordance with Specifications and Requirements herein. Location: Customs Border Patrol/ Southport Location: Customs Border Patrol/ Southport Location: Boat Slip behind Port Admin. Building at 1850 Eller Drive Ownership Disclosure Requirements: As a matter of Vendor responsibility, Vendor must submit a completed Ownership Disclosure Form (refer to Special Instructions to Vendor for additional information). County/State License Requirements: In order to be considered a responsive and responsible Vendor for the scope of work set forth in this solicitation, the Vendor must possess a specified license at the time of submittal (refer to Special Instructions to Vendor for requirements). Basis of Award: Award will be to the overall lowest priced responsive, responsible bidder total bid. Bidders must bid all items. A bidder desiring to offer No Charge on an item must indicate by placing a $0.00 in the offer field for that item and enter No Charge in the Notes for Buyer section in the EBS (electronic bidding system); otherwise, it will be construed as incomplete and may be rejected. Questions and Answers: The County provides a specified time for Vendors to ask questions and seek clarification regarding the requirements of the solicitation. All questions or clarification inquiries must be submitted through Periscope S2G by the date and time referenced in the solicitation document (including any addenda). The County will respond to all questions via Periscope S2G. Bid Allowance Amount: $38,750.00 Q & A deadline: Dec 05, 2022 4:00:00 PM CST The work must be completed within thirty (30) calendar days from the project initiation date specified in the Purchase Order/Notice to proceed. All work hours must be pre-arranged with Project Manager or designee. Upon failure of the contractor to complete a project within the time frame stated on the Purchase Order (PO) the contractor shall pay to the County the sum of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) for each calendar day after the time specified or agreed upon for final completion of project. Provide all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to effect repair and/or replacement of awnings located at various Broward County agencies. Port Everglades Seaport Facilities Maintenance Division (SFM) is the primary user on this contract. GENERAL SERVICES: 1) Provide all materials, equipment, and labor to complete each awning repair or replacement job. 2) Provide all materials, equipment, and labor to remove and re-install awnings as assigned. Each awning removed will be stored at respective Broward County agency until re-installation. 3) Provide all materials, equipment, and labor to complete repairs to awning frames as assigned. 4) Contractor shall be responsible for storage of all materials and equipment. 5) All work shall be performed during normal business hours Monday-Friday (8 am5pm) and dates pre-arranged with Project Manager or designee to ensure all security concerns are addressed. 6) Emergency awning removal services will be needed before severe weather events. 7) Contractor is responsible for ensuring acquisition of all necessary permits, security badges and vehicle permits from all entities having regulatory jurisdiction over the project site. 8) Contractor shall provide all necessary signed and sealed engineering drawings required for permitting. 9) Contractor must accomplish not less than 75% of project labor with its own workforce (not temporary or convenient ventures). This will ensure standardization of installations and properly address warranty issues. 10) Requests for emergency repairs must receive a response by phone within fifteen (15) minutes and on site within two (2) hours unless other arrangements are made with the Project Manageror designee. 11) Contractor shall provide scissor lifts and other lifts as required to complete the work in compliance with the most current Miami-Dade County Building Codes. |
