Description

The work includes approximately 15,250 linear feet of milling and overlay work on 8 roads in the Town of Salem, New Hampshire. The project also includes small quantities of road patching, gravel work, curbing, casting adjustments/replacements, water gate box adjustments/replacements, drainage structure installations/replacements, and landscaping work. Documents may be examined, but not obtained, at the Engineering Department, Town Hall, 33 Geremonty Drive, Salem, NH 03079, or at Construction Summary of NH, Inc. 734 Chestnut Street, Manchester, NH, 03104. Each bid must be accompanied by BID SECURITY, payable to the Town of Salem, in the amount of 5% of the total bid, which BID SECURITY must be in the form of a certified treasurer's or cashier's check or bid bond. Successful bidder must furnish 100 percent Construction Performance Bond, 100 percent Construction Payment Bond and a $25,000 Warranty Bond. Each bid shall be submitted on the Bid Form supplied by the Town of Salem in a sealed envelope clearly identified with the Bidder's name and address marked The Schedule of Prices section of the Proposal Form shall be completed showing the Unit Price and Total Price for each item, and a Grand Total for all items. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any technical or legal deficiencies that it may deem to be in the best interest of the Town. Substantial contract completion date shall be August 3, 2023. Contract Final Completion date shall be August 31, 2023. No bidder may withdraw his/her Bid for a period of 90 calendar days after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders. Owner will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda as Owner considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conference. Oral statements made at the pre-bid conference may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective.
