Description

The project objective is to prepare engineering designs to improve turn lane queue storage and/or to implement neighborhood traffic calming at the following locations: 1. Intersection of Holly Street and Orchard Road – improvements may include removal of the southbound raised median to extend the left turn lane storage capacity. 2. Intersection of Orchard Road and Orchard Drive - improvements may include changes to curb radii, installation of a raised median, and sidewalk/trail connectivity. 3. Intersection of Orchard Road and Ivy Street – improvements may include a neighborhood traffic circle, slight realignment of Orchard Drive, adjustment to drainage facilities, and minor retaining walls. 4. Intersection of Orchard Road and Dayton Street – improvements may include removal of the westbound raised median to double the storage length of the existing left turn lane, adjustments to lane widths, and changes to bicycle lane striping.
