Description | As of June 14, 2023, an architect has been selected for the project. Bidding is estimated for December 2023 - January 2024, and construction is estimated for spring of 2024. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Architectural firms; hereinafter called "Proposer(s)" to secure an architectural feasibility study regarding possible renovations to the current Township Municipal Building located at 155 Powerville Road, Boonton Township, NJ to include the Boonton Township Police Department that is currently located at 155 Powerville Road, Boonton Township, Morris County, New Jersey. The building has been in use as the municipal building for 49 years; the oldest section is 96 years and the addition is 68 years. The options for the feasibility study are: 1) renovate existing building; 2) construct new building on site then demolish the existing building or 3) relocate entire operations to another site. Proposers shall provide said feasibility study based on their architectural expertise and knowledge of municipal and police operations, in order to provide information to the Towsnhip Committee as to the viability of renovations for said purpose to the existing Township Municipal Building and Police Headquarters footprint of approximately 8,100 square feet. The Township will select the proposer most qualified to perform services described in the Request for Proposals, and who meets all relevant selection criteria. All professional service contractors are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 (Business Registration of Public Contractors), N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. (Contract Compliance and Equal Opportunities in Public Contracts). Submissions by Corporations and Partnerships shall include a completed Disclosure of Ownership from (N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2) and shall include a completed Non-Collusion Affidavit. The Township Committee reserves the right to reject any or all submissions due to any defects or waive informalities and accept any submissions that in their judgement will be in the best interest of the Township. The Township Committee shall award the contract or reject all submissions no later than 60 days from receipt of same. |
