Description

OUTLINE OF PROJECT: Project consists of approximately 3,000 SF of new roof joists and a roofing system at the Schroeder Junior High School located at 800 32nd Ave S, Grand Forks, ND 58201. Separate bids will be received for scopes of work: Roof Joist Supply, Roof Joist Install, Roofing System Supply and Install, Rough Carpentry, Acoustical Ceilings, Fire Sprinklers, Mechanical and Electrical. The Schroeder Junior High Roof Replacement project will be constructed by multiple subcontractors; managed by PCL Construction/Community Contractors, a joint venture. The contracts will be with PCL Construction/Community Contractors, a joint venture. THE OWNER: Grand Forks Public School District No.1 2400 47th Avenue South, Grand Forks, ND 58201. NORTH DAKOTA LAW: All bidders must be licensed for the full amount of their bids, as provided by North Dakota Century Code Section 43 07-05 and 43-07-12; and no bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to bond and licenses, and any deficient bid submitted will be re sealed and returned to the bidder immediately. THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER & OWNER reserve the right to reject & hold any or all bids for 90 days after the date fixed for opening thereof. SUMMARY 1.1 This project consists of replacing the metal joists and roofing system over the home economics classroom at the Schroeder Junior High School. In doing so there will be added foundations and steel beams to support the new roofing structure along with some modifications to the exterior finishes. There is additional roof drainage and scuppers needed for proper drainage. There will be added mechanical systems to help the ventilation of these classrooms. The ceiling and lights within the classroom will have to be replaced after demo of roof is complete.
