Description | The City of Flint Water Pollution Control (herein referred to as WPC) is seeking qualified vendors to duplicate three (3) drive shafts to replace eddy current clutch drives on its pumps located at the Third Ave pumping station. This bid shall include all necessary bearings, risers, gaskets, shafts, and any other parts required for a complete job. 1. Vendor shall provide three (3) 4” drive shaft assemblies to replace the eddy current clutch drives located at the Third Ave pumping station pumps 2, 3 and 4. 2. Vendor shall provide all parts/engineering necessary to duplicate the drive shaft on the pump 1, which has already been updated. a. Shipping to clutch assembly to and from the station shall be included as part of the Vendors bid. b. Vendor shall be responsible for all work to disassemble and reassemble the clutch assembly. 3. Vendor shall provide all parts/engineering and installation for pumps 2-4 to match the current updated pump #1 which shall include but not be limited to: a. Thrust bearings. b. Bearing cap gaskets c. New shaft. 4. Vendor shall provide the following labor: a. Pickup and delivery. b. Disassembly. c. Cleaning, blasting and painting on the clutch housing. d. Dimension and measure all fits and record – provide report to City. e. Vendor shall be responsible for getting all dimensions from pump 1. f. Repair any bores or fits on the existing coupling. g. Assembly of the shaft/bearings in the housing. h. Verification of all TIR’s then dynamically balance rotor. i. Removal of lower coupling. j. Installation of all thrust bearings required on shaft. k. Assembly of rotor into thrust housings. l. Install lower coupling. m. Painting clutch housing with grey epoxy paint. n. Assist in Startup testing |
