Description | Repair Interior and Exterior of Fire Training Facility Maxwell AFB AL, in-accordance with Solicitation Document FA330023R0049, and Statement of Work. Provide a refurbished exterior that can withstand corrosion caused by high volume water usage and fire burning inside the facility. Create a rescue search trainer room, approved by Maxwell Fire Chief, that can be reconfigured for a variety of training scenarios and allow for smoke generation inside these non-combustible training areas. Provide power to the facility, from existing power feed inside the training area, to supply lighting and power to the facility. Project Title: Repair Interior and Exterior of Fire Training Facility The estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $80,000 and $120,000. This will be a sole source acquisition under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act and processed in accordance with the Partnership Agreement (PA) between the SBA and DoD date 7 JAN 2013. Performance and Payment Bonds are mandatory." *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The contractor shall provide all supplies, materials, tools and equipment, and qualified management and labor necessary to make modifications and repairs to the fire department structural fire training facility (SFTF) at Maxwell AFB, AL, in a manner that will ensure serviceability and prevent deterioration of the operational effectiveness. The contractor shall comply with the most current version at time of contract award of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1403, Section 6, Standard on Live Fire Evolutions, American Welding Society (AWS) directive D1.1. Structural Welding Code - Steel, manufacturers' recommendations, and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal guidelines as applicable to the work involved. Installation, testing, repair, and servicing of fire training equipment shall be performed only by a qualified contractor. |
