Description | Isleta Pueblo Housing Authority (IPHA) will receive sealed bids from licensed general contractors for the construction of four each 2- and 3-Bedroom Residential Duplex housing units on the Isleta Pueblo Reservation. The work to be performed under this contract is subject to Section 7(b) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 450e (b)). Section 7(b) requires that to the greatest extent feasible (1) preferences and opportunities for training and employment shall be given to Indians, and (2) preferences in the award of contracts and subcontracts shall be given to Indian organizations and Indian-owned Economic Enterprises. Priority for training and employment shall be given to Isleta Pueblo members and priority in the award of contracts and subcontracts shall be given to Isleta-owned businesses in accordance with the Isleta Pueblo Business Opportunity Act. The General Contractor and all subcontractors must be licensed in the State of New Mexico. If a General Contractor intends to self-perform plumbing, electrical or mechanical construction, he must be licensed by the State of New Mexico in each trade he so performs. Attention is called to the fact that the Davis-Bacon and related Acts apply to this project and all contractors and subcontractors shall comply with the applicable wage determination and certified payroll requirements. The IPHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or waive any informality in the bids received, whenever such rejection or waiver is in the best interest of the IPHA. The proposed award of a contract for this project is subject to the approval by the IPHA Board of Commissioners. It is the intent of the IPHA to award the contract for construction immediately upon approval of the IPHA Board of Commissioners. The project is physically located at 3095-3109 Lightning Loop, Moonlight Subdivision, Isleta Pueblo, New Mexico, 87105. |
