Description | Remove, replace, and upgrade the existing accordion type hanger doors at the Sheriffs Operations Hanger located at 951 Singleton Drive, Deland FL 32724. There are two (2) doors in this project being installed. During the demo of concrete floor sections, excavations of footers and slab cuts, and during the curing process of the slab pour back, it is essential to have a steel plate(s) accessible and readily available to cover the floor openings so the sheriff's office can pull out one of the choppers if an emergency should occur. The choppers are on wheels and are moved by an ATV. It is imperative to prepare and be ready for that situation, should it occur. The plate(s) shall be in place during down time, or when not working. Considerations shall be in place to control the dust from the construction area getting into and on the choppers by any means and shall not to conflict with the emergency operations during the demo. This could be in the form of a dust curtain or other means necessary to ensure compliance of this request. The remaining details and scope are in the Construction Plans and Technical Specifications. BPECANO.: 00005898 BPA&ID CA NO.: AAC002023 The County of Volusia, Facilities is seeking a single, responsive and responsible bidder for the construction of 23-B-37LL, Sheriff Aviation Hangar Door Replacement located at 951 Singleton Drive, DeLand, FL 32724. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder shall be responsible for all applicable permitting, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, and incidentals necessary to complete all Work required by the specifications and as shown on the drawings. E-mail: LLassiter@volusia.org A Bid bond shall accompany each Bid in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid amount and shall be valid for a period not less than one hundred twenty (120) days. If a Bid bond is used, the Bidder shall complete and submit the Bid bond form provided in this solicitation. After the County and the successful Bidder have executed a written Contract and the successful Bidder has recorded an acceptable performance and payment bonds or if one hundred twenty (120) days have passed after the date of the formal opening of the Bids and no Contract has been awarded, the Bid security of any Bidder will be returned upon written demand. Contractor shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, prior to performing any work under the Contract in an amount equal to the total value of the project including any amendments or change orders made thereto pursuant to the Order or other documentation executed by the parties, in strict accordance with Failing to do so, shall constitute a material breach of this Agreement. The Bonds shall be secured from or countersigned by an agency or surety company recognized in good standing and authorized to do business in the State of Florida. The County Performance and Payment Bond form shall be used. No other forms will be accepted without prior approval from the County. Simultaneously with the delivery of the executed Contract to the County, a Bidder to whom a Contract has been awarded must deliver to the County, executed, separate performance and payment bonds on the prescribed forms, each in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price of the accepted Bid proposal as security for the faithful performance of his Contract and for the payment of all persons performing labor or furnishing materials in connection therewith. The performance and payment bonds shall have as the surety thereon only such surety company or companies as are authorized to write bonds of such character and amount under the laws of the State of Florida and with a resident agent in Florida. The Attorney-in-Fact or other officer who signs performance and payment bonds for a surety company must record with such bonds a certified copy of his Power-of Attorney authorizing him/her to do so. |
