Emergency Utility Construction Services as Needed

The Town of Saugus is seeking sealed bids to furnish all labor and material for replacement and repair of water/sewer/drain utilities within the Town of Saugus, as directed by the Public Works Director or his Designated Representative. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check payable to the Town of Saugus from a responsible bank or trust company; cash; or a bid bond equal to 5% of the value of the first-year bid amount. The Town of Saugus reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any/or all bids and to waive minor irregularities and/or informalities as it deems to be in the best interest of the Town. In accordance with our Minority Business Enterprise Plan, the Town of Saugus is an Equal Opportunity Employer. This invitation for bid is in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 30 Section 39M. The Contractor is required to pay the prevailing wages as determined under the provisions of Chapter 149, Sections 26 and 27D of the Massachusetts General Laws, including the submission of weekly payroll reports to the awarding authority. The contract is for the period of one year, April 12, 2023 - April 12, 2024, renewable at the discretion of the Town of Saugus for an additional two (2) one-year periods ending on April 12, 2026. All prices must remain firm during the contract period.
