Description

Work For New GE Zoneline PTAC Units All room surfaces and contents need to be protected and the condition of the room in the condition in which it is found. 1. Remove cover. 2. Remove cord plug, thermostat wires (if present), and the four hex head screws. 3. Remove unit from the unit sleeve. 4. Clean the inside of the wall sleeve. A. Vacuum whole inside including drain hole. B. Clean inside of wall sleeve using disinfectant and wipe clean with cloth. 5. Check the drain in the bottom of the pan of the wall sleeve. Making sure that it is draining and free of debris. Also check the drain hoses in the corners of the sleeve if a drain is not in the bottom of the sleeve. 6. Area to wash PTAC will be designated and provided. 7. Clean cover and wash filters and let dry. (Replace filter if torn). 8. Remove plastic top from the condenser (back coils) by removing the four screws and clean cover inside and out. 9. Remove Louvers on front of unit by removing four screws on the front tabs of the louvers. 10. Taking a small screwdriver, pull out wire grid for louver and clean both sides. 11. Remove air deflector by removing the four screws at the top and four screws on the bottom of the deflector. 12. Remove the cutoff assembly (the flat long piece over the heater coil) by removing the two screws located to left, over the fan squirrel cage bearing and pull out to remove it. Clean the top sides and bottom using a disinfectant. 13. Cover the electrical components.(Control board and where the cord plugs in. This is where the main computer board is located). 14. Vacuum the whole unit using a crevice tool inside and out. 15. Spray either a non acidic coil cleaner or Simple Green (recommended by GE Manufacturer) on both the condenser and evaporator coils, pans, shrouds, and chassis. 16. Let unit soak for five minutes. 17. Using a low pressure setting, Power wash entire unit while using a vacuum and crevice tool to suck up water and debris. 18. Vacuum as much water as possible. 19. Wipe down entire unit to help drying process. 20. Reassemble unit. Wipe down afterwards to make sure all is clean. 21. Reinstall unit and make sure that all cycles are working.
