Description | A. The proper removal and disposal of the following asbestos containing materials (ACM) if it is to be disturbed as a component of this renovation: 1. Roofing systems (field and flashing/curbing systems) including bitumous fields and flashing felts. B. The work of the Contract can be summarized as follows: 1. Removal and replacement of roofing systems located at the facility as detailed in drawings through either National Roofing Contractor Association methods and/or Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation methods; 2. Administrative Requirements necessary to execute the Work, including but not limited to: Preparation and delivery of all required submittals; 3. Packaging, transportation and disposal (including all prescribed, implied or otherwise required waste characterization and analysis) of all hazardous and non-hazardous materials and components shown, specified or otherwise implied. **As of August 26, 2022, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. Project will rebid but no definite date yet.** The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding whenever such rejection or waiver is in the interest of the Owner. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. All bidders are required to comply with General Licensing Act of 1976, also known as Tennessee House Bill No. 2180 and T.C.A. 62-6-119 of 1994. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. |
