Description | Project will involve the rehabilitation of a section of Old San Antonio Road adjacent to the new Hays CISD school site, near the Manchaca Springs Road intersection and 12" water main installation within the right of way from Main Street to the School site. The project includes improving the width, pavement section of the road, adding left turn lanes at the two driveways to the school site with drainage improvements. The roadway is being widening, to install the left turn lanes, begins approximately 600 feet south of the school's southern driveway and ends at the intersection with Manchaca Springs Road with 200 feet of improvements to Manchaca Springs Road. New driveways shall be installed at the school site, to the residential/commercial properties and to the YMCA facility. The project includes installation of a 12" water main so that the City of Buda can extend service to the school site. The water main installation begins with connecting to an existing 16-inch main on the south side of Main Street in Buda City limits which will include a bore installation under the Main street and the new waterline will run on the east side of the pavement within the Old San Antonio Road right-of-way. The water line will also require an additional bore section under the existing cross drainage structures as the water line is extended to the north and connects to the school site water system. The project also includes approximately 480 linear feet of guide rail installation along the pavement edge for traffic protection. Drainage improvements include new culverts, inlets, slope protection and concrete channel installation. Upon completion of the project all disturbed areas shall be revegetated. | ||||||
