Sod Placement Brevard and Osceola Counties

Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to install and place sod as directed by the District’s project manager. The sod type shall be Argentine Bahia sod. All sod placed on slopes greater than 3:1 shall be pinned with U shaped pins. Sod shall be installed in a staggered pattern such that seams do not match in order to minimize erosion potential. Slopes have been regraded and tracked for sod installation. The approximate area to be sodded is 106,000 sf. There are three primary locations: 1. L73, Section 1 (Taylor Creek): 70,000 SF (areas vary in size) 2. L73, Section 2B (Jane Green): 30,000 SF (main area: 30 ft.+/- by 1,000 ft.) 3. S96B Tieback (SJWMA): 6,000 SF (area: 10 ft. by 600 ft.)
