Description

As of August 26, 2022, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid. Each Bid should be clearly marked "BID ENCLOSED FOR THE UNION CITY, INDIANA, 2022 STREET RESURFACING PROJECT" and the bidders name and address on the outside of the envelope. Bids submitted after that time will be returned to the bidder unopened. A conditional or unqualified Bid will be rejected. In general, the Base Bid will include milling, resurfacing, and ADA curb ramps, in the following areas; North Howard Street, from West Division to Carter Street (paving of the parking lanes only), and Oak Street, from North Howard Street to North Walnut Street. The Project, which is funded from Town funds and a Community Crossings Grant, will be constructed in up to one (1) contract division. In general, the work consists of providing all labor and material for the project. The Bidding Documents will be available beginning at 12:00 Noon July 11, 2022 from: Eastern Engineering Supply Reprographics, 9901 Allisonville Road, Fishers, Indiana 46038. Phone: 317.598.0661, Fax: 317.598.0639. Bidders may obtain the documents by paying a non-refundable fee of one hundred twenty dollars ($120.00) for each complete set of documents. Bidders shall provide with their fee, their Company Name, complete street address (no PO Box), phone number, Fax number and the contact person's name. Checks shall be payable to "Kieser Consulting Group, LLC". Copies of any and all addenda which may be issued for this project shall be included with the purchased documents and shall be forwarded to all bid documents holders at their return street address. Documents may be examined at Eastern Engineering Supply Reprographics, 9901 Allisonville Road, Fishers, Indiana 46038, Phone: 317-598-0661. Bidders are required to receive bid documents directly from Eastern Engineering. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided in the Bid Documents and shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount bid with satisfactory corporate surety or by a certified check on a solvent bank. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Bid. Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids. All bids received shall remain valid and in force for 60 calendar days after the date of Bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids in whole or in part as specified in the solicitation when it is not in the best interest of the governmental body as determined by the purchasing agency in accordance with IC 5-22-18-2. The Owner also reserves the right to waive irregularities in any Bid, and to accept any Bid, which is deemed most favorable to the Owner.
