Description | Any bids received after the above date and time shall be disqualified and will be returned to the Prospective Bidder unopened. The Project includes the following Work: The public improvement project is located in St. John, Indiana and consists of Rehabilitating 19 Road segments throughout the Town. Road Improvements will consist of, but not be limited to, the following: HMA Milling, HMA Patching, HMA Paving, Concrete Curb Turnout, Concrete Curb & Gutter, Concrete Sidewalk, ADA, Pavement Marking & Lawn Restoration. The Project will be let in compliance with Indiana Code (I.C.) Title 36-1-12 (Public Works Projects) and awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in the manner prescribed by the Bidding Documents and consistent with State Law. Bids shall be submitted on the designated Bid Form contained in the Bidding Documents. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Contractor's Bid for Public Works "Form 96," prescribed by the Indiana State Board of Accounts, and a Non-Collusion Affidavit, an E-Verify Affidavit, an Iran NonInvestment Certification, and other documents as set forth on the Bid Form. Bid Addendum Documents may be issued by the Project Engineer to Plan Holders registered with the Issuing Office. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Each Bidder shall be prepared to promptly execute the construction Agreement, furnish the required bonds and certificates of insurance coverage for the Work, and to commence the Work in accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents in the event the award of the Work is made to them. Upon the completion of the Work as defined by the Contract Documents, the Contractor (awarded Bidder) shall be required to furnish a maintenance bond, conditioned to guarantee the Work for a period of two (2) years. Additional Bidding Requirements, and provisions of the Contract and the Work, are defined in the Bidding Documents. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid within a period of sixty (60) days following the date as established herein for receiving formal bids, except for limited circumstances as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to hold any and all bids for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days; said bids to remain in full force and effect during said period. The Town of St. John reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process.
