Description | The South Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO), 40001 SR 9336, Homestead, FL 33034 is seeking a contractor to provide all labor, tools, vehicles, equipment, materials, transportation, and supervision required to successfully remove existing carpet and replace with a high grade locking vinyl wood plank flooring. The linoleum will not need to be removed in the kitchen. The planks will be overlaid on top of it. The whole project is approximately 1700 sq. ft. The new plank flooring will be approximately 7”x48”x and a minimum 8mm (thickness). Color of the vinyl plank flooring will be a brown oakish color. Vendor will also supply an acoustical layer pad to go between plank flooring and the existing wood floor. No glue or tape is to be used in the installation of the underlayment or the vinyl wood planks. The contractor shall provide industry documentation and manufacturer literature supporting the recyclable material percentage. All transition strips are included in this work. Contractor shall field-verify all measurements. Contractor must also provide and install painted base trim (or quarter round moulding depending on room) to match existing room colors and to cover installation gaps. Base trim is original and will not be removed. All rooms will require painted quarter round to cover up the ends and seams of the vinyl plank flooring. The quote must include the manufacturer’s product specifications complete with technical product data for the carpet. Plank flooring is used on a ground or floor surface. To be ABA compliant (Section 302 & 303), the maximum thickness shall be 20mm. The plank flooring shall have 20 mil wear layer for residential and commercial use The Contractor, at the end of the project, shall supply to the COR an additional 5% of new vinyl planks for future repairs. |
