The principal items of work are approximately as follows: 36,842 Cu Yd Unclassified Excavation 20,770 Cu Yd Granular Borrow 20,480 Cu Yd UTBC 17,049 Ton HMA - 1/2 " 14,507 Sq Ft Flatwork, 6" Thick 8,723 Sq Ft Retaining Wall The Silver Creek to Bitner Connector road project has been in the works for some time. Summit County is excited to start this project. This project time period spans 2023 to 2024. It involves the reconstruction of road sections on Silver Creek and Bitner and the construction of a new connector road. See specs and plans for more information. The project is to be substantially complete by September 1, 2024. Liquidated Damages will be enforced at $2,430 per Working Day the project is not substantially complete. Question Submission Close Date 4/10/2023 12:00 PM MDT The right to reject any or all bids is reserved Project Location: Silver Creek Road from approximately 7100 to 7300, Bitner Ranch Road from Bitner Ranch entrance to approximately 1.2 miles north. Summit County, UT. C. Schedule A is to construct a new roadway, approximately 2.5 miles (Connector Road) from Bitner Ranch Road to Silver Creek Road with a multi-use trail, a new roundabout at each end of Connector Road, a box culvert on Connector Rd, retaining walls and guardrail on Bitner Ranch Road, parking/bus stop area (Civic Center) with new mailbox housing structures, approximately 1.2 miles of roadway reconstruction on Bitner Ranch Road with a multi-use trail, and approximately 0.35 miles of roadway reconstruction on Silver Creek Road. D. Schedule B is to construct seven stamped concrete crosswalk pedestrian crossings, three raised crossings and four not raised. The crossings will include appropriate signage and pavement markings. It also includes the installation of a driver speed limit sign foundation in four locations, and installation of one driver feedback sign. E. Utah edition of the APWA Manual of Standard Specifications and Manual of Standard Plans 2017 edition and special provisions in the project manual apply on this project. For retaining walls and items where UDOT standard drawings are referenced, UDOT specifications will apply. For the mail house structural item, DFCM general conditions will apply. Where conflicts occur between APWA, DFCM and UDOT the most stringent will apply as determined by the OWNER or the ENGINEER. APWA general conditions will apply
