Description | The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified contractor to provide construction services for the project listed below. The proposed work includes installation of approximately 1,900 linear feet of new 15-inch sanitary sewer line just north of Van Buren Street from 50th Street to the Loop 202. The alignment begins at 50th Street near the Polk Street alignment, north on 50th Street to Taylor Street, east on Taylor Street to 51st Street, then south on 51st Street to Taylor Street, continuing east on Taylor Street, then south in an existing PUE along the west property line of parcel 125-05-029B to connect to the existing sewer just west of the Loop 202 and Polk Street alignment. The proposed 15-inch gravity sewer main will connect into the existing system and allow for removal or abandonment of some portions of the existing sewer lines. Work also includes installation of approximately 14 new sewer manholes. The Van Buren Relief sewer project (48th Street to Loop 202) will provide a new sewer that will mitigate surcharging flows experienced within the existing gravity sewer pipeline. At this meeting, staff will discuss the scope of work, general contract issues and respond to questions from the attendees. As City staff will not be available to respond to individual inquiries regarding the project scope outside of this pre-bid meeting, it is strongly recommended that interested firms send a representative to the pre-bid meeting. Questions pertaining to process or contract issues should be directed to Liz Blakley at (602) 495-3654 or elizabeth.blakley@phoenix.gov. The City reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible responsive bidder or all bids will be rejected, as soon as practicable after the date of opening bids. The City of Phoenix will provide reasonable accommodations for alternate formats of the bid packet by calling Liz Blakley at (602) 495-3654 or calling TTY 711. Requests will only be honored if made within the first week of the advertising period. Please allow a minimum of seven calendar days for production Work will be completed within 180 calendar days, beginning with the day following the starting date specified in the Notice to Proceed. |
