Description | The Fire Station 39 Annex - Electrical Improvements Project is located at 1975 Huntington Court, Fairfield, CA. The work generally consists, but is not limited to: modifying the electrical infrastructure at Fire Station 39 to provide sufficient power for a modular living unit, installing all connections to power the modular living unit, and any work shown on the Project Plans, as specified in the Contract Documents and as directed by the City Engineer. Proof of compliance with insurance requirements (including certificates of insurance and additional insured endorsements) shall be provided by the successful contractor. Coverage shall be for the following amounts: (a) Commercial General Liability - $3,000,000 each occurrence, $6,000,000 each aggregate, (b) Automobile Liability - $1,000,000 each occurrence, and (C) Worker's Compensation/Employer's Liability - $1,000,000 each occurrence Each bid must be in accordance with the provisions of the contract documents now on file with the City Engineer, City of Fairfield, Fairfield, California, which contract documents are incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof. Bid Guaranty and Bonding Requirements are as follows: (a) a bid guarantee in the amount of 10% of the bid price must be submitted with bid proposal, (b) the successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond in the amount of 100% of total bid price. The Contractor shall perform with his/her own organization, work of a value amounting to not less than fifty (50) percent of the remainder obtained by subtracting from the total original value the sum of any items that may be designated as "Specialty Items" in the Special Provisions. Public Works staff shall indicate on the sealed bid the time and date of bid receipt to validate the bid was appropriately received. Bids received after the time and date specified in the Notice to Contractors shall be rejected as invalid. It is solely the bidder's responsibility to ensure that bids are received prior to the specified time.
