Domestic Hot Water System Replacement at Donoghue Elementary School

Shut down domestic cold water supply to building. Demolish existing 715k btu boiler, 350 gallon domestic hot water storage tank, and all associated piping including gas supply to boiler, flue piping, and domestic hot cold and return lines back to primary distribution points. Install 2 new water heaters, (100 gallons, 500k BTU). Install new 4" PVC intake and flue piping through wall or roof and patch with concentric vent kits. Install new properly sized gas lines to each unit including all necessary gas valves, regulators and hangars. Install new domestic hot, cold and return piping to heaters, existing domestic hot water return pump to be reused. Install new 110v power supply to each heater, including (1) new boiler disconnect switch by entrance to boiler room. Insulate all water lines with 1" thick fiberglass insulation and Zeston fittings. Note: All work to be done on straight time. Test operations and leave area clean and orderly. Contractor to secure necessary permits Contractor to field verify dimensions and specifics of all before placing bid. Not responsible for contractor errors as a result of no field verification. Material and instillation must comply with cps standards and specifications, 22 36 00 - COMMERCIAL FUEL-FIRED WATER HEATERS. If building or CPS properties are damage during construction, contractor to replace and or repair as necessary. All questions/request must be received two business prior to bid closing. All work shall be coordinated with the board authorize representative to complete in a greed upon time frame. Contractor crew is to remove and dispose of materials torn out and any construction debris. All trash must be roved off-sight by vendor and area left clean.
