Roosevelt Village Unit 1 Road Improvement Project

Marion County MSTU/Assessment Department is looking for a contractor to complete the resurfacing of approximately 2.30 miles of minor local road sections in Roosevelt Village Unit 1. This project involves resurfacing of approximately 2.30 miles of minor local road sections in Roosevelt Village Unit 1. Reclaim and Resurface work involves roadway prep, shoulder removal, minor clearing and grubbing, importing limerock to re-establish 2% roadway slope, reclaiming and resurfacing, temporary striping, permanent thermoplastic striping, and stabilizing all areas disturbed during construction. Project also involves the reconstruction/re-aligning and resurfacing of two road segments .2 mile which consists of clearing, excavating, importing limerock, resurfacing and stabilizing all areas disturbed during construction. An alternate roadway base has been added to the bid, shown on plans as ALTERNATE # 1 utilizing Recycled Concrete Aggreagte (R.C.A.) as a base inlieu of limerock for that section shown. CONTRACT TERM This contract will be in effect for 90 days from the date of the NOTICE TO PROCEED. The NOTICE TO PROCEED will not be issued until all required documentation is received by the COUNTY. The last 30 days of the contract is to accommodate the placement of thermoplastic striping only. All other contract related work must be completed within 60 days. Liquidated damages will begin to be imposed if there are any outstanding contract items remaining incomplete except for thermoplastic striping after 90 day
