Description | Concrete repair for exhibit halls A & B: - Saw cut and demo existing cracked concrete areas to be replaced (6" to 8" approximately) - Remove debris to receptacle provided by contractor - As/If needed level base to meet existing slab with compacted crush and run - Install #4 rebar dowels every 12" - Drill holes 6" into existing concrete slab - Flush holes with water - Inject holes fully with epoxy suitable for structurally securing rebar doweling, following manufactures instructions for mixing and instillation - Insert lengths of rebar into the holes twisting to ensure even coating of epoxy along the length of the rebar inside of the holes. The rebar is to extend a minimum of 6" into the concrete pour (when the pour is 1' the rebar is to extend 4" minimum into the pour) - The concrete shall be between 6" to 8" and is to match existing depth and have saw-cut control joints as needed (any existing adjacent joints shall be continued through the new pour), joints shall be sealed with appropriate expansion joint caulk to match existing (Dow Corning 790 Gray) installed per manufacturer’s instructions - The concrete shall be 5,000 PSI fiber reinforced (Argos Mix code number 50JNX068 Description 5000JSNA), and shall not be reinforced with wire or rebar, the existing concrete shall be treated with an appropriate concrete bonding agent following manufacturer's instructions prior to the pour. Control joints shall be added as needed and sealed with expansion joint caulking to match existing. Control joints in existing slab shall be extended through repair pours. - The concrete shall be finished and sealed to match existing - The work site is to be cleaned daily, water and vacuuming shall be employed during cutting to minimize dust - All affected areas shall be swept and washed to remove concrete dust once the work is completed - All work shall be coordinated and scheduled around the GWCCA event schedule. GWCCA will coordinate with the selected contractor to select consecutive days that work can be performed and completed within the event schedule - The contractor shall provide a 12-month warrantee for each area repaired to begin once repairs in each exhibit hall have been completed |
