Description

The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) is soliciting responses from registered Engineers / Architects interested in providing professional services for the project known as Central State Prison - Fire Alarm System Replacement (Project No. GDC-23-CENT-SP-004) located at 4600 Fulton Mill Road, Macon, GA 31208. This project will involve the replacement of the fire alarm system for Central State Prison. Areas affected by this scope include, but may not be limited to, all living areas, all program areas, all support buildings, administration building, Main Control and all buildings outside the fence of the facility. The design shall incorporate a construction plan which will minimize impact to normal daily facility operations. Scope shall include replacing the current fire alarm with an addressable fire alarm system, to include replacement of all detectors, monitor modules, fire alarm panels and annunciators. System will monitor sprinkler system flow and tamper valves. System will monitor all kitchen hood systems and activate as required by code. System will monitor and control HVAC systems as required by code. The Owner shall provide the selected Design Firm with a conceptual plan during the design process The scope of design services shall include preparation of schematic design and design development documents, estimated construction cost, construction documents and contract administration. The Stated Cost Limitation (SCL) is estimated at $1,010,000.00.
