Description

Suffolk County Sewer District No.6 - Kings Park Capital Project 8145: Kings Park - Downtown Sewers Work Consists of the Following: the Installation of Approximately 9,500 Linear Feet of Gravity Sewer, 3,100 Linear Feet of Building Connections, 7,500 Linear Feet of Force Main, and Construction of a New Wastewater Pumping Station in the Kings Park Business District in the Town of Smithtown. It is intended that the work under this Contract be completed substantially 540 calendar days after issuance of the formal Notice to Proceed or receipt of a fully executed agreement, whichever occurs first. The undersigned further agrees that the Owner may retain from the monies that are or which may become due the amount of $2,350for each consecutive calendar day the completion of the work may be delayed beyond the time stipulated, and such amount to be retained, is hereby agreed to be liquidated damages accruing to the owner incident to such delay This Project Includes Both State and Federal Prevailing Wages. If Federal Davis-bacon Wage Rates Differ From the New York State Prevailing Wage Rates, Then the Higher of the Two Rates Shall Be Paid. Note: This Project Is to Be Bid as a Multi Prime Project. Bids for This Contract Shall Be Submitted in a Separate Sealed Envelope With the Name of the Contract Clearly Noted on the Outside of the Envelope. Bids Shall Be Accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in an Amount Not Less Than Five Percent (5%) of the Total Base Bid, Made Payable to the Suffolk County Comptroller. The Certified Check or Bid Bond Will Be Held as a Guarantee That in the Event the Bid Is Accepted, and Contract Awarded to the Bidder, the Contract Will Be Duly Executed and Properly Secured. E-mailed Bids Will Be Considered Unresponsive. the Bids Shall Be Delivered in Person, by the Bidder or His Agent, at the Time and Place Stated. Please Note That All Construction Projects Over $250,000 Advertised After July 17, 2008, Will Be Subject to Training Requirements Pursuant to Section 220-h of the Nys Labor Law. Please Note That All Construction Contracts Involving Construction, Reconstruction, Improvement, Rehabilitation, Installation, Alteration, Renovation, Demolition of, or Otherwise Providing for Any Building, Facility or Physical Structure of Any Kind With a Value in Excess of $250,000 Will Be Subject to Apprenticeship Training Program Requirements Pursuant to Article 23, Section 816b of the Nys Labor Law and Suffolk County Resolution No. 1866-2014, Specifically Requiring Graduate of Apprentice(S) in the Trade(S) Called for Within the Construction Contract Within Specified Time Period Preceding the Bid Date of Project. the Commissioner of Public Works Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids.
