| Description | The City shall provide the selected Vendor with specific locations for flow and level instrumentation monitoring installation within the City’s CSO collection system. The Vendor shall perform an inspection of each proposed monitoring site to verify suitability for instrumentation installation. The field investigation shall include the following: ? Site accessibility, safety considerations, and maintenance of traffic requirements ? Manhole removal to observe sewer flow conditions, evidence of surcharge, debris accumulation, and possible backwater ? Verification that flow and depth conditions are within equipment specifications and that turbulence is minimal ? Field sketches of configuration of pipes, overflows, and weirs associated with location, and depth to rim of manhole ? Any location which would present difficulty for successful data acquisition shall be replaced with an alternative site. The alternative site shall also be inspected for the same criteria and must be approved by the City. |
