Underground Utility Locating Services

The work involves the location of underground utilities (water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer), on an as needed basis as a yearly contract. The City owns and operates underground infrastructure and as such, is required by statute to provide excavators with markings indicating the location of these facilities. The City maintains a coverage area with Colorado One Call to facilitate this process. The coverage includes water distribution and transmission mains and service lines, sanitary sewer collection and conveyance lines, and storm water conveyance infrastructure.
