Description

Construction of the Taxiway Lighting, PAPI and REIL Replacement project The work is generally described as follows:Project includes the replacement of existing taxiway lighting, PAPIs and REILs and rotating beacon .Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or other negotiable instrument equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total bid is required and shall be made payable to the City of Camden. Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required.No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of sixty (60) days.Bidding Documents may be examined at the following locations:Office of the Engineer:Michael Baker International101 South Spring St, Suite 100Little Rock, AR 72201(501) 907-6223City of Camden:206 Van Buren N.E.Camden, AR 71701870-836-6436 The Bidder (Proposer) must supply all the information required by the bid or proposal form.This project will be partially funded using federal assistance. The bidder/offeror shall make good faith efforts, as defined in Appendix A, 49 CFR Part 26 (Attachment 6), to meet the contract goal for DBE participation in the performance of this contract.The bidder/offeror will be required to submit the following information: (1) the names and addresses of DBE firms that will participate in the contract; (2) a description of the work that each DBE firm will perform; (3) the dollar amount of the participation of each DBE firm participating; (4) written statement that attests their commitment to use the DBE firm(s) listed under (1) to meet the Owner's project goal; and (5) if the contract goal is not met, evidence of good faith efforts. A bid that fails to meet these requirements will be considered nonresponsive.The successful bidder/offeror must provide written confirmation of participation from each of the DBE firms the bidder/offeror lists in their commitment.
