Description | Improved grounds that require an intensive level of maintenance. High Visibility Areas, approximately 63 acres, including a 3.5-acre cemetery, are shown in the Installation Grounds Maps. The work performed in these areas by the Contractor shall include mowing, edging, and trimming grass; removing grass trimmings from paved areas; removing grass from cracks in sidewalks and pavements; aerating, applying fertilizer / lime, and applying pesticide to fields; removing litter, leaves, and debris: and clearing fence lines. Each subtask applies to the entire 63 acres unless otherwise specified. This RFI is to identify potential Small Business contractors for this requirement. The Contractor shall provide Grounds Maintenance for all High Visibility Areas (Improved Grounds) and Common Areas (Semi-Improved Grounds). The Contractor shall ensure that all work covered by this contract is accomplished in a manner that results in a healthy, clean, neat, and professional appearance of grounds. The Contractor shall mow grass only when the maximum height is reached or exceeded as indicated in the Work Capability Levels. The Contractor shall set the mower height to three (3) inches for all areas, and shall alternate mowing direction when feasible. |
