Roof Replacement at Pine Bluff Arsenal

The U.S. Department of Defense – Army, Pine Bluff Arsenal (PBA) has a requirement to replace the roof at building 34-910. Building 34-910 is an approximately 83,000 square foot maintenance shop with an approximate height of 26 feet, width of 207 feet 10 inches, and length of 397 feet 6 inches. The existing roof at 34-910 is an ethylene propylenediene monomer (EPDM) system broken up into three sections that are separated by two expansion joints. Records indicate the EPDM roof at 34-910 was last replaced in 1981. Due to the age of the EPDM roof at building 34-910, a winter storm that put 2 feet of snow on top of the current EPDM system has caused damage beyond repair. Due to thisdamage, PBA isin need of a new roof system consisting ofsingle-ply membrane to be installed on building 34-910. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to replace the existing roof on building 34-910 with a polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) system. The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract. The contractor shall completely remove the current EPDM roofing system prior to installing the new PBC roof system.
