Drainage Items for a Smart Scale Project Halifax Residency

PURPOSE: The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting quotes from qualified firms to provide and deliver Drainage items needed for a Smart Scale Project delivered to the project job site located near the address of 6329 Mt Cross Road, Danville, VA. This solicitation is 'SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES". (See paragraph Z, under General Terms and Conditions,) CONTRACT PERIOD: The contract shall cover the period from date of award through five days. II. QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS INVITATION FOR BID: Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Robert Dowdle at robert.dowdle@vdot.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. SCOPE OF WORK: VDOT will be doing a maintenance project in Pittsylvania County at the intersection of Route 750 (Whitmell School Road) and Route 844 (Mt. Cross Road). As part of the maintenance project, VDOT will need the items outlined below delivered to the job site. Refer to attachment for plan drawings and specifications for each item listed. All materials and construction shall conform to the requirements of the 2020 Virginia Department of Transportation Road and Bridge Specifications: Section 232.02 (a) - Concrete Pipe, Section 302.03 (b) - Precast Drainage Structures (1) One DI-5 Drop Inlet with Type 1 grate at height 3.0' on 15" pipe in 48" diameter manhole (1) One EW-1 Endwall for 15" pipe (1) One 60" Diameter SWM-1at height. of 2.4' with additional riser for sump, HDPE orifice cover plate, Standard dewatering device, and RS 60 HDPE Trash Rack with lockable access (No Anti Vortex Device) (1) One 15" ES-1 Concrete Flared End Section (Bell) (1) One 48 LF of 15" (4' joints) ASTM C76 Class IV RCP (reinforced concrete pipe) w/single offset gasket joint
