1. In all project areas, spot foliar spray all reed canary grass patches with clethodim herbicide. Contractor shall follow manufacturer’s recommendations for maximum product efficacy. Treatments shall be made before this year’s growth is 12 inches tall. Areas with saturated soil will be left untreated. 2. In areas of RCG monoculture, specifically the north end of area A and the south/southwest border of Area B, broadcast (boom) spray applications may be used. Glyphosate herbicide may be used in these areas if saturated soil precludes clethodim Application. 3. Initial treatments shall be followed by a second visit to treat any target individuals that were missed. 4. Contractor shall remove herbicide application signs on or before the fourth day following applications.
