Description

The Milford Health Department has outgrown its current facility located at 82 New Haven Avenue, Milford, Connecticut. The facility was formerly a Goodwill location and was then converted into the current Health Department facility with no upgrades or changes since that time despite changes in staffing and services provided. Additionally, in 2016, the Milford Department of Human Services was consolidated under the supervision of the Milford Health Department. The City of Milford and the Milford Health Department are seeking proposals from a consultant/architect to conduct a Space Needs Assessment of the Health Department and the Department of Human Services to determine its current and future space needs. This assessment will be used to determine either the direction of some future expansion of one or both existing facilities or the construction of a new facility. The space needs assessment must include a recommendation for site selection for the facility. In addition, a schematic design of the facility - to indicate the suggested floor plan and individual room and overall size dimensions - will be required.
