Jail Plumbing Renovations

Bid must include: • Demo all plumbing in secure plumbing chases to include sewer, tempered mixing valves and clean water plumbing. • Existing fixtures inside pod areas must be retro fitted for new water control devices. (which includes toilets, lavatories and showers) • It is the responsibly of contractor to purchase all plumbing parts (pipes, control devices and fittings to complete job. • Contractor must install isolation valves for 1st and 2nd floor inside secure plumbing chase, new supply pipes will be copper with new ball valves. • Each secure plumbing chase must have a new standalone tempered water mixing valve installed with isolation valves for tempered water. (minimum working rate of .5 GPM water flow) • All shower drains must have new vandal proof covers installed with proper drain slope. Contractor will pour and repair concrete for shower drains. • All drainpipes must connect to the closest possible point of fixture, contractor may use PVC piping for drain lines. • New drainpipes will connect to old pipes in ground of secure plumbing chase. • All water control devices, which includes toilets, lavatories and showers will be I-CON System equipment. (Each chase has one 15amp receptacle) • I-CON LED pressure sensors will be used for toilet activation. • I-CON Force Activated Touch Sensor will be used on lavatories and showers • I-CON NEXUS AC Communication-Capable Controller will be used. • I-CON Dual Temperature Manifolds will be used for lavatory. • I-CON Pre-Tempered Manifold Shower Valves will be used for showers. • I-CON New Work Flush Valves will be used. • All painting and minor finish work will be the responsibility of Rockdale county sheriff’s office.
