Description | Scope of Work for Roofing Services The Maryland Department of Labor (LABOR) requires building services for a flat roof replacement at their 2800 W. Patapsco Ave. Baltimore, MD 21230 location. The vendor must be licensed within the State of Maryland and provide material delivery and project scheduling throughout the entire effort. In addition, the expectation is that the vendor will negotiate at least a 10-year or lifetime warranty for related materials and services. In accordance with this solicitation, the agency needs the vendor to remove and dispose of old materials as well as provide new roofing materials. Material Requirements: The following materials are required: o Wood decking o New 1/2" CDX plywood @ $95.00/sheet; 3/4" CDX plywood @ $105.00/sheet; 1/2 '' FRT (fire retardant) plywood @ $105.00/sheet; or 1" x 6" plank board @ $6.00 per linear foot o 3" plates and deck screws 1/2 " o High density fiberboard o New 1/2" CDX plywood o New white .060 TPO membrane o Metal drip edge and gravel stop for roof edges o New/re-use counter flashing o Flashings o 1/4" tapered insulation crickets o New metal scuppers and flash o New white metal at parapet walls o Pitch Pockets and pourable sealer o Pipe Boot Project Requirements LABOR requires ongoing and transparent communication with the vendor throughout the life of the project. In addition, the vendor must perform an initial inspection and assessment of the roofing area. Presumably, the contractor may need to remove the existing roofing system down to the roof deck as well as clean and dispose of all work-related debris in a proper manner. LABOR needs the vendor to: o Inspect wood decking and replace any damaged areas o Attach insulation down to roof deck with 3" plates and deck screws o Mechanically fasten 1/2" high density fiberboard insulation to deck with 3" plate and deck screws to meet an I-90 wind uplift rating o Install 1/4" tapered insulation crickets into areas to promote proper drainage. o Install new .060 TPO membrane down to insulation o Install metal drip edge and gravel stop at roof edges where appropriate. o Install new/re-use counter flashing along roof walls of standing seam bump out roof. o Install all wall flashings at parapets. o Install flashings at heat stacks, vents, pipe penetrations, pitch pocket, and parapet walls per o manufacturer's specifications. o Install new metal scuppers and flash per manufacturer's specifications. o Install new metal at parapet walls. (White in color) o Install pitch pockets and fill with pourable sealer where applicable o Install pipe boot and flash at roof penetrations where applicable Liquidated damages of $20 per day for each employee paid less than the Living Wage. |
