Description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Minnesota Valley National Wildlfie Refuge and Wetland Management District requires layout, preparation and installation of a concrete floor at the East pole barn of the Rapids Lake Shop and Maintenance Facility located at 15850 Rapids Lake Road, Carver, MN 55315. The service provider shall assume all responsibilities associated with prep and pouring of the concrete pad. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00 GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The service provider will prep and install a concrete pad and tie it into the existing concrete pad at the East Pole Barn of the Rapids Lake Shop and Maintenance Facility. The goal of the service provider shall be to ensure that the aforementioned concrete slab is installed to meet the needs of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service customer. The concrete installer shall work in coordination with the USFWS personnel to complete the project. The selected contractor is required to familiarize themselves with the pole barn structure and the existing conditions of the existing floor at the building location. The awarded contractor will review all site conditions and verify they are acceptable for the awarded concrete installation. The awarded contractor shall also meet with agency representatives to review the installation solution and the prep work for the base, and the tie into the existing concrete slab. The Quoting vendors shall be an established business specializing in concrete pad installation in commercial pole barn facilities. The awarded contractor shall provide a complete project and installation not to exceed 90 calendar days. Anticipated start date is April 1, 2024, with an anticipated completion date of June 30, 2024. Schedule will be developed in coordination with the USFWS project team. The awarded contractor shall be responsible for assessing, evaluating, verifying, and confirming the conditions of the building, accessibility, site restrictions, parking, staging, hours of availability/accessibility of all the above and any other conditions associated with, and which may affect cost of delivery and installation. The contractor shall ensure that their design, layout and installation is in compliance with area building code requirements, as well as Federal, State and local code requirements. OVERALL REQUIREMENTS: The installed final concrete pad will be complete and create a unified flat surface that ties in with the existing pad. Specifications: o The concrete pad will need to be approximately 48 ftx120 ft. o A minimum of 6" thick. o Tied into the existing concrete pad. o The service provider will be responsible for installation of an appropriate rebar grid and mesh network to support the concrete pad. o The service provider will also be responsible for installation of rebar dowels necessary to tie the new concrete slab into the existing slab. o The service provider will also be responsible for installation of expansion joints saw cut into the slab. Anticipated start date is April 1, 2024, with an anticipated completion date of June 30, 2024 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
