HPW - Wastewater Process Unit Cleaning and Evaluation

Contract work includes cleaning wastewater treatment plant process units and lift station wet wells and evaluating conditions of the cleaned structures to identify the required repair and rehabilitation. Details of contract involve removal and loading accumulated solids by excavation (crane and bucket or vacuum method) of approximately 3,000 wet tons of solids from aeration basins/aerobic digesters; approximately 2,000 wet tons of solids from other process units; approximately 200 wet tons of solids from process units with fine bubble diffusers; approximately 500 wet tons of solids from lift station wet wells of different depth; and removing and loading by hydraulic dredging and screening or dewatering of approximately 300 wet tons solids. Transporting and disposing of approximately 6,000 wet tons of removed solids to landfill; installing, operating, and maintaining bypass pumping systems to safely bypass the City provided dry weather peak flow; and providing other related services and items required for the solids removal, loading, transportation, disposal, and evaluation activities.
