| Description | Eliminate approximately 698 rail joints on SPETA’s City and Suburban Rail Divisions through electric flash butt welding hi-rail vehicle. SEPTA has 62 ½” broad gage and 56 ½” standard gage on their City/Suburban Transit Division. Contractor’s equipment will only have to accommodate the standard gage track. All broad gage track welding will be performed on either field side of track or on street running territory. Work will be scheduled for 2 nonconsecutive weekends with 14 hrs shifts. SEPTA will Pay Vendor two separate Mob/Demob chargers. |
