Description

SANDUSKY MILLS STREET HIGH-RATE TREATMENT PROJECT $33,500,000. The Work, in general, consists of construction of a 16 million gallon per day (MGD) High-Rate Treatment (HRT) Facility at the City of Sandusky Water Pollution Control Plant, at 304 Harrison Street, Sandusky OH 44870. Components of this project include the following: Structural modifications to the Mills Street CSO Regulator; expansion of the existing screening building and foundation to accommodate two new bar screens and conveyor modifications; installation of two new non-clog horizontal centrifugal pumps; raising of the aerated grit tank walls for additional hydraulic capacity; replacement of the three 'clamshell' type grit removal buckets and hoists; construction of three Pile Cloth Disc Filtration units; construction of two buildings to enclose mechanical and electrical equipment; UV disinfection system with corresponding concrete channels and above-grade building; standby power and transformer installation; Instrumentation, piping, valves and utilities; and site work including grading, pavement, and site restoration. If any person contemplating submitting a Bid for the proposed Project is in doubt as to the meaning of any part of the Contract Documents, they may submit to the Sandusky City Engineer and Stantec a written request for interpretation thereof. Award of the contract is contingent upon City of Sandusky obtaining a WPCLF loan.
