Kean University Miron Student Center (MSC) HVAC Renovation Project

The Contracting Officer at Kean University invites sealed Bids for Lump Sum Contract for: Project Name: Kean University MSC HVAC Renovation Project Bid Number: K22-8-11-2 Project Location: Kean University Main Campus, Miron Student Center (MSC), 1000 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083 Kean University seeks experienced, qualified bidders for our Miron Student Center HVAC Renovation Project. The project consists of replacement of existing HVAC systems associated with the Miron Student Center. Existing four pipe rooftop units shall be replaced with DX cooling/HW heating units. Replacement of existing steam to hot water heat exchanger skid (including HW pumps) with gas-fired condensing boilers including HW pumps. Modification of existing RTU/ductwork system serving the 3 story addition/atrium as required to accommodate installation of a new RTU to separate the addition into two (2) RTU systems. Replacement of general building exhaust fans. Demolition of existing cooling tower, steam absorption chiller, pumps and RTU equipment. Additional work associated with the project includes BMS integration, electrical infrastructure upgrades, roof structural dunnage installation and roofing repairs as required to support the new equipment installation. Bids must be submitted via email, as an attachment in PDF format, to mschvacbid@kean.edu. The subject line of your email must read "BID SUBMISSION Bid No. K22-8-11-2". Hard copy bids will not be accepted regardless of whether the bid documents permit the submission of hard copy bids. Bidders will be fully responsible for the delivery of their bids. Late bid submissions will NOT be accepted. Each bid shall be accompanied by a security payable to Kean University. The bid security shall be in the amount of 10% of the bid amount, and shall be given by bid bond. If a contract is awarded, the successful bidder shall enter into contract and shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the bid amount submitted.
