Description | installation of a new roof at the District Court for the Town of Salem NH The services provided by the contractor shall include, but not be limited to the furnishing of all materials, equipment, supervision, labor, tools, testing, and all other miscellaneous appurtenances and work necessary to complete the project in accordance with the Contract Documents, Drawings and Specifications. This project will involve replacing the roof which is a loose laid membrane type overlaying rigid insulation. The membrane is held in place by a 1 to 2 inch layer of small diameter river stones and was installed in 1999. A facility evaluation and assessment was performed by a building consultant in 2017 and determined that the roof membrane was past its useful life and should be replaced with fully adhered EPDM or TPO membrane over new rigid insulation as applicable. Owner will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda, as Owner considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conference. Oral statements made at the pre-bid conference may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, should the Owner deem it to be in the public interest to do so. The Salem District Courthouse is located at 35 Geremonty Dr., Salem, NH. The two-story masonry building was built in 1981 and consists of approximately 23,000 sf floor area. The roof area is approximately 11,000 sf.
