Description

The Successful bidder who is awarded the contract will be required to pay PennBID a fee. The successful bidder is responsible for the fees associated with the awarded bid. All bids will be reviewed by the Perkiomen Township Board of Supervisors at their regular Supervisors meeting at 7:00 p.m. on April 4, 2023. Each Proposal for the Project shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bank Treasurers Check, Cashiers Check, or Bid Bond in the form provided by the Contract Documents, drawn to the order of Perkiomen Township, and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid, as a guarantee that if the Proposal is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and the performance thereby properly secured. The work shall be substantially completed within Sixty (60) calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, and as described in the Contract Documents. Proposals shall be valid for sixty (60) calendar days from the date of Bid opening. The work to be performed for the PERKIOMEN GREENE PAVED PATH REPLACEMENT consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and appurtenances for the removal and replacement of all bituminous pathways within the Perkiomen Greene Development. The work will include approximately 5,460 SY of 2.5-inch depth milling and 860 tons of Superpave wearing course, and other related road work. Attention is called to the fact that no less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the contract documents must be paid, and that employees are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Wages paid employees of the successful bidder shall be subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. The Board of Supervisors of Perkiomen Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or portions thereof. Perkiomen Township also reserves the right to overlook or waive a bid defect, irregularity, deficiency or nonconformance provided that: (1) same is patently insignificant or technical; (2) the best interests of the Township would be advanced by the waiver; (3) the waiver would not give an unfair advantage to one bidder over another; and, (4) the waiver would not violate Section 3102 of the Second Class Township Code, 53 P.S. 68102, et seq.
