Forestry Consulting Services Holton Creek 4 Timber Marking

This project is for 130 acres of timber marking in preparation for a timber harvest on the Holton Creek Tract in Hamilton County, Florida. The timber harvest will be a hardwood and loblolly pine removal while leaving all longleaf pine. All longleaf pine must be marked with blue paint at eye level in a manner that will be visible to the feller-buncher operator. There are approximately 2,600 longleaf pines in the harvest area, and they are indicated on the map below. Additionally, any hardwoods in a grouping of longleaf pine that are unable to be cut without damage to the longleaf pine are to be marked.
