South Commercial Avenue Sanitary Sewer Replacement

Alternate No. 1 - $51,000, Alternate No. 2 - $125,000. The project consists of two alternates which will be awarded dependent on bid prices. Alternate No. 1 consists of the construction of 163’ of sanitary sewers in 8” and 12” sizes, two (2) manholes, 30’ of casing pipe and the related trench backfill, hot-mix asphalt pavement removal and replacement, and traffic control. Alternate No. 2 consists of the construction 514’ of sanitary sewers in 8” and 12” sizes, three (3) manholes, 30’ of casing pipe, 25’ of sanitary sewer service, and the related trench backfill, hot-mix asphalt pavement removal and replacement, and traffic control. The proposed sanitary sewer to be replaced is located beneath a pair of existing culverts that are to be removed and replaced by the City of Amboy’s forces. The culverts are located on an Unnamed Tributary to the Green River. The awarded Contractor will be required to coordinate his efforts with the City of Amboy’s Public Works Department to schedule the work of this contract to ensure neither party is adversely impaired from progress on their respective portions of the work.
