Description | The Chesapeake Union Exempted Village School District is accepting proposals from firms to install a playground system for its Chesapeake Elementary School Playground Project. Project Scope: The Project consists of all labor, materials, and services necessary to install a playground system at the Chesapeake Elementary School located at 11359 Co Rd 1, Chesapeake, OH 45619. The playground must be built in conformance with the following guidelines ASTM F1487 safety standards, CPSC Playground safety standards, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the current ADA Standards for Accessible Design, AHJ Construction Standards and Requirements listed in the Planning and Zoning Code, and applicable local building code requirements. The scope of the Project includes: Base Pricing: The playground system must be installed at Chesapeake Elementary School and must contain, but not limited to, the following equipment: 1.4000 square foot rubber safety surface 2.One play structure 3.Swing system with a minimum of six individual swings 4.Additional equipment to facilitate exercise and motor skill development Prevailing Wage: Davis Bacon Prevailing wage rates and federal requirements shall apply to this Project for any construction or installation services that exceed $2000.00. Contractor is responsible for submitting certified payroll reports to Owner on a weekly basis. Anticipated Project Schedule: Preliminary services, if any, will begin upon execution of the Agreement. Work is anticipated to commence on the effective date of the agreement. It is anticipated that the Date of Substantial Completion will be July 15th, 2023 Date of Final Completion. Final Completion shall mean that the Work is complete in all respects in accordance with the Contract Documents and the Contractor has submitted to the Owner all required documents. The date of Final Completion shall be within 21 calendar days from the Date of Substantial Completion. Notice of Delays: Contractor will give Owner written notice of any delay affecting its Work in the form and with the information specified in the Contract Documents within forty-eight (48) hours of the commencement of the delay; provided that the 48-hour notice will be extended to ten (10) days for unusually severe weather conditions not reasonably anticipatable. The failure to give the required notice constitutes an irrevocable waiver of Contractor's right to seek an extension of time and/or additional compensation/damages for the delay |
