Description

INVITATION TO BID 19012.3 WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT CENTER CAYUGA COMMUNITY COLLEGE You are invited to bid on the General Construction, Heating Ventilating & Air Conditioning (HVAC), Plumbing, Electric, Fire Protection contracts for the Workforce Development Center at 248 Grant Avenue in Auburn, New York. Cayuga Community College will receive sealed bids until 2:00 PM, 26 January 2023 at the Facilities Office on the Auburn Campus of Cayuga Community College, Auburn, New York 13021. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Interested parties are invited to attend. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Drawings and specifications may be examined at: Thomas R. Pratt Architect, P.C., 7030 East Genesee Street, Fayetteville, NY 13066 Cayuga Community College, Facilities Dept., 197 Franklin Street, Auburn, New York 13021 Syracuse Builders' Exchange, 6563 Ridings Road, Syracuse, NY 13206 Upon returning the contract documents to Syracuse Blueprint in good condition within 30 days following the contract award, bidders shall be returned their deposit in full. Non-bidders, including subcontractors and material suppliers, returning their documents in good condition will be returned their deposit in full. A Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Bank Cashier/Teller/Treasurer's Check payable to the Cayuga Community College in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must be accompany each proposal as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted a Contract will be entered into. No bidder may withdraw his Bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof, but may withdraw it at any time prior to the scheduled closing time for receiving Bids. We will meet in the front entrance lobby. Bidders will be able to visit the Site during the bidding period with prior notification to Mr. Douglas Kinney, Director of Facilities, Cayuga Community College, 197 Franklin Street, Auburn, New York, 13021, Phone (315) 294-8411 and an appointment will be made for such visit. Bidders' attention is referred particularly to Governing Laws and Regulations, including Affirmative Action Requirements, Equal Employment Opportunity, Minimum Wage Rate Requirements to be paid under the Contract, Prevailing Wage Rate Requirements to be paid under this Contract, sales tax exemption and safety and health required by Federal Law. It is the policy of Cayuga Community College to take affirmative action to ensure that minority and women-owned business enterprises are given the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to provide goods and services at competitive prices. MINORITY AND WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES PARTICIPATION: For all State Contracts in excess of $25,000.00 whereby each SUNY campus is committed to expend or does expend funds in return for labor, services including but not limited to legal, financial and other professional services, supplies, equipment, materials or a combination of the foregoing or all State Contracts in excess of $100,000.00 whereby the SUNY campus expects to expend or does expend funds for the acquisition, construction, demolition, replacement, major repair or renovation of real property and improvements thereon, Contractor shall exert good faith efforts to achieve a participation goal of five percent (5%) for certified Minority-Owned Business Enterprises and five percent (5%) for certified Women-Owned Business. We set goals related to businesses certified within the procurement needs. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and all Bids.
