Description | For the operation and maintenance of the 16-mile Wyoming Valley Flood Risk Management Project, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. The Coal Creek Diversion Channel, located in Plymouth Borough, is a component of that system. Tropical Depression Ida in September 2021 caused flooding along Coal Creek within Plymouth Borough. The storm deposited debris consisting of cobbles, rocks, and sediments through the channel which eventually collected in the box culvert and settling basin sections of the concrete structure. The Work consists of, but is not limited to, mobilization to the site. removal of all existing cobbles/rocks/sediment debris from the box culvert and settling basin components of the concrete structure, hauling of the debris to the disposal site, restoration of the earthen embankment adjacent to the structure as applicable, and de-mobilization. |
