Description

Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, transportation, and incidentals necessary for installing, disassembling, reassembling, and maintaining Caltrans-owned scaffolding/platform Quikdeck decking system while Caltrans Paint Crews perform cleaning and painting of bridges in Sacramento and Humboldt Counties. Bidder shall possess at the time of bid submittal and for the duration of the Agreement, a valid and current Class A General Engineering OR a C61/D39 Scaffolding Contractors License from the Contractors State License Board (CSLB). At the time of bid submittal, Bidder shall be able to demonstrate experience on successful projects similar in magnitude, structure configuration and containment methodologies and submit resumes providing at least five (5) years of experience in this type of work. Bidder shall possess at the time of bid submittal and for the duration of the Agreement, a valid and current Motor Carrier Permit issued from the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) as described in Item 9 of this Invitation for Bid and in Exhibit E of the Proposed Forms of Agreement, Attachment 9. Bidder shall possess at the time of bid submittal and for the duration of the Agreement, a valid and current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Contractor License Type Description A General Engineering Contractor C-61 Limited Specialty D-39 Scaffolding Written Question Submittal 11/09/2022 Questions regarding this IFB must be submitted in writing by November 09, 2022. Bidders are encouraged to submit their written questions via e-mail to joanna.nevarez@dot.ca.gov. Proposed Award Date (estimate) 11/28/2022 This Agreement will commence on January 2, 2023 (estimate) or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later, and no work shall begin before that time. This Agreement is of no effect unless approved by Caltrans. Contractor shall not receive payment for work performed prior to approval of the Agreement and before receipt of notice to proceed by Caltrans Contract Manager. This Agreement will expire on December 31, 2023 (estimate). Caltrans reserves the right to reject all bids for reasonable cause.
